What is the worst chore you had as a kid , the best you have as an adult?
The worst chore i ever had was doing the dishes. i came from A Big Family, where my mother would cook the big dinners, and expect her 3 children to wash dishes switching by weeks. She would have to stand there and watch me wash the dishes(when my week came). We also had to wash our own clothes, because of this I don’t mind washing clothes. I do all the laundry in my household. I think because it is so easy, and i’m good at it. My reasons for asking this is because my wife thinks, sometimes i should wash the dishes (we do have a dishwasher), and she do the laundry. I keep telling her that i wash enough dishes in my life time. I will never wash dishes again. (Big dinner dishes) She thinks that i have some kinda of fetish with washing the clothes. Now this is past civil, she is insisting that i do the dishes once in awhile. I refuse to give in. Am I being unreasonable.
When I was a kid I had to mow over an acre with a 20 inch push mower. I also had to trim around a chain link fence and about 25 trees. That was before the days of weed whackers, I had to do it on my hands and knees with a hand trimmer. It took me 6 to 8 hours to do and I was paid a whopping $2. As an adult I actually enjoy taking care of our pets. 2 cats and 1 dog.
